The Zone-1 preliminary competition for Light Indian Vocal Solo was held on Friday, 13 Feb, 2015 in the D Block Seminar Hall at 3 pm. As soon as the event began, the aura of the competition and the spell binding performance of the anchors quenched lots of appreciation and applaud. The judges of the event were Miss Monurai Sharma from Mount Carmel school and Mr. Shayan Chatterjee, USBT. Akanksha and Vaibhav were the appointed anchors. There was large participation, and an enthusiastic crowd filled the environment with immense excitement and eagerness.

The participants created magic! They sang from their hearts with intense feelings and a few of them were so melodious that the listeners were awe-struck and the judges were mesmerised. The singers delivered their best, one after the other and their enchanting voices took us to a journey of illusion and melody. Finally, the judges gave their final decision, selecting the ones in whom they could figure an all-round performer.

The program coordinator of vocal events, Nishant Chandel, USICT said, “I’m glad I was obliged to conduct such an awesome event. The performances have been great, the decision has been obvious and the final round is going to be better and marvellous!”
